Update

Guess who's back? Boo. Me.

Well, hadn't been updating for a while. Still kind of missing Korea and all of the people there. Maybe that's what people call 'in a trance'. I didn't take back much.

Just memories. o.O ?

Update

Updating so here I am :P. Today, I woke up early at about 7.30am and went to the HSBC Treetop walk. Its quite near to where I am staying so that wasn't a problem. Went with my mum and sister. The trail was kind of muddy after some weird drizzle. That wasn't much of a problem either. We walked uphill till it was really getting quite tiring. Stopped at the nearby ranger station to take a rest. :Þ I was suprised at the number of people who woke up so early in the morning -- the range station was crowded and there were lots of chattering.

After a short rest, we continued uphill and finally reached the treetop work :P . More of a suspension bridge though. The bridge swayed a little when I walked on it. The scenery was brilliant and I can even see the Upper Pierce Reservoir (is it the correct spelling? o.o). Well, we had to walk back to the car parked somewhere near civilisation and again we took the same route. It was terrible... The drizzle came on and stuff. Oh wells.

Went for a cup of Milo and some roti prata at the Kopitiam somewhere further before returning home. Whee.

Trip to SSC

Welcome to Channel News Zaisia.

Moving on, in today featured news...

Met up with Ivan and we left for the Singapore Science Centre. Long time never go there liao. But I still can remember the main structures and shapes of the buildings. There was this water play park and it looked like fun. Ivan had some Omnitheatre vouchers so we exchanged them for tickets. After catching lunch at McDonalds (which was un-crowded wad) and drumming around, we went in the theatre for the show. It hadnt changed =.= still 5 stories tall, which made me feel that I was about to fall everytime i look down. There were 2 movies showing --- one abt the deep sea creatures and the other about Mars. It was titled Roving Mars actually. So we chose that one. It looked more interesting anyway. There wasnt much people, and the show tooked about 40 minutes. Roving Mars was cool, featuring how the NASA scientists managed to get a rover vehicle on Mars. It was mentioned that the process took 7 months. They overcame the various difficulties, and eventually managed to send 2 rovers on Mars, named Spirit and Opportunity. These vehicles did their job well and discovered that there was water on Mars billions of years ago, a sign that lifeform could exist.

After the show, we strolled around and then Ivan's dad came to pick us up. I caught a lift XD.

Well, for more information, there's this webby, presented by Walt Disney Pictures.

PSLE RESULTS OUT!!!

Anyways, a few days ago, on 23/24 November I forgot which, PSLE results came out. Every year sure got ppl get abv 280 one. Well, perhaps they're muggers. Ok, this year the highest was 281, scored by someone from Raffles Girls Primary. Gratzzz. My sister's results came out too. It wasnt that bad -- she scored 262. I have a feeling she wants to enroll in NYGH next year. :S The students who got sick in the exams also achieved reasonable scores, and some of them scored hgiher than their expectations.

***Happy Birthday Kia Wee***

*beep*

On 24 Nov my sister went to watch movie with her friend, which is also our neighbour, for her birthday. It turned out to be Happy Feet. =.= There were a lot of advertisements and most of them are advertising for Happy Feet. Even received some kind of a piggy bank for free popcorn gift. My dad and I went to Bukit Timah Plaza to pay for the overseas trip in December. (more abt this later. stay tuned.) We walked around and found a store selling Malay Food, so I bought a bowl of noodles. Crapping XD. After that we went back to the GV Theatre, then after that, back home.

Today need to wake up early to practice piano. Oh yes, and Zacko informed me abt the class outing. So tt's another reason to wake up early. Haiz. So i practiced piano till it was time for my lesson, @ Coronation Shopping Plaza. Anyway I live near so I usually cycle there. 1215 hrs and it was over. Fun. :P My piano teacher gave me extra lessons. :::::

It was noon. Argh. Had lunch at home and slacked around. Then... time for class outing!!! Left house for Vivo City. When I arrived there were some communication problem, and I couldnt find where the rest were. So I just walked around keeping a lookout for them. Oh ya, I noticed a few things abt Vivo City that kinda changed since my last visit. First of all, there were weird people doing stuff like dancing on a elevated platform, dressed up in green uniforms. There were also people in yellow suits riding on some random scooters scooting around. Should be a promotion of some kind. Green and blue mesorangers were also juggling stuff and putting on quite a good performance which attracted many. Managed to find the class eventually, but one thing was that only abt 5-6 people turned up. There were ppl like zack, lkh, kai, shawn and cavin and me. So we proceeded to the cinema, but the Happy Feet shows are all fully booked till 6pm, so we had to switch to a cool 3D movie. It was not bad. The thing about 3D is that sometimes it make me flinches. Like for example a guy in the screen punches u. Presented by Walt Disney Pictures. btw, the show didnt start till abt 4 so we went and watch some random Hello Kitty show. There were some kids who volunteered. The contestants are supposed to follow the actions of the Hello Kitty and other characters', and the last person was supposed to win something. But there were a few contestants left on stage. So there was a vote and in the end, if im not wrong, a boy named Zack won. ... The others were also given prises.

Movie was great, shall nt eleborate further. Went home after the movie and reached home @ abt 6.40. Then I started spamming gb till 8.30 and blogged till now. Time flies.

This year I am going overseas to South Korea for the holidays. Will be leaving on 7/12 most likely and it will be spanning a week or so. Recently there were outbreaks of bird flu in Korea though. Hope the trip will not be affected, though there will still be the risk of having to go for an injection before departure to immune oneself against this virus.

That's all for now. BBB. going to watch I not stupid tooooooooooo le. BBB. :P

TeH hOls

Holidays are seemingly cramped with lots of stuff and activities.

Just a few days ago, I met up with the council mentors, Mr. Ben Lee and Mrs Koh. Haiz. Almost overslept and stuff. Waited for a while though. It was rather sunny, especially in the morning. I just found out that I hadn't bought my books for next year. Arhg.. Haiz. So I went and purchase the books... =.= Ok, the books aren't that heavy as I thought. Let's see.... Advance Physics for you, Biology Matters. Chemistry Insights, and Additional Mathematics. Yeesh. All the cheem books. Hmm. The crucible is kinda out of stock so it wasn't purchased. All the books look super uber* thick. It seems that Sec 3 is going to be a uber tough year.. lalala. Come to think of it, we musn't judge a year by its books.

On the other hand, first impressions matters a lot too. Ok im crapping.

Sigh. Ms Foo will be leaving us after 2 years of dinofication. :( wonder who willl be our next year' FT.

Go Figure.

ToO QuiEt?

Communication.Interaction.

It is in the school holidays that I realize that I hadn't been interacting much with my classmates. Haiz. I guess I am a little too quiet in class. Guess its a little too late now. Recently I read a couple of blog entries and I often wondered what I was doing for the past 2 years. Two years of academic studies. Two years of opportunities, and I let every opportunity go by. It is this aspect that I wish to work upon. In the future, I am going to be more outspoken. Hmm. Something like that. This is going to be one of my goals for the upcoming year 2007, which is also an improvement that I will have to make.

That's all for now. Currently drafting out the class testimonial. G'day everyone :P.

Holidays

I am back to blogging after some time. This post will cover mainly what happened during the school holidays, and what I am going to blog about soon.

Firstly, I realised that holidays are meaningless without company, excluding my bed. So I checked the EMB for something I could indeed doodle about. Ok, i chose SMRP (science) for the special programmes next year. It wasn't the best choice around, but I am quite happy with it. Second choice was EP. Entrepeu-thingy programme. Perhaps I wanted to try something that's new. Actually everything is new to me. Nevermind. I duno why I put that either. What I know is that Taylor chose EP, and Pnghy chose BSP, which is exactly what brings me to the next topic.

Most likely 2L will be split up next year. OK, there's no banquet that never cease. end. Whatever you call it. And no worries ever end too. But forget that. I must say I treasured the time in 2L. With all of the 2Leans. Whee. Time flies faster than a brick. Come to think of it, I hadnt been in touch with many people since the holidays stared. Only ppl like lkh, andric and taylor. Sigh. Diwi perhaps. (gaming spree...)

Since I forgot the next topic that I wanted to blog about, I will automatically skip to the next one -- about the iCouncil 'n iCMG retreat to Cameron Highlands. Most people didn't go for the retreat though. About 4 people from 2L went. Sigh. Anyways it was great. We stayed in Strawberry Park Hotel. My room-mates were Lester and Benjy. Cool combination. We spent 2 nights in the hotel. I slept at 10pm on the first night and 2.30am on the second night. Ok u can call it morning.

For this week, there will be nothing to look forward to, probably except playing com games and staring at the poker cards I bought from Cameron Highlands. Argh. Anyways I realised that friendships improve somewhat in the hols. lol gaming spree o.o I have become better friends with several people in 2L. Whee. That's a good thing.

That's all for now. I doubt the readership of this blog but anyway its a personal diary. Oh dear. That reminds me of the NYAA booklet that I have stashed randomly in the blue coloured bag I always bring to piano lessons, for my teacher to sign and give comments. Which is like early time to hand up NYAA. oh wells. I will be writing a class testimonial soon, probably around this week or so, and also blog about the retreat at Cameron Highlands in detail.

I wish everyone a happy and fruitful holidays. =)

EOYA

Today's EOYA, short for End of Year Activities. We went to watch the movies, and have a choice between either Singapore Dreaming or Inconvinent Truth (I think). I bought a mega-size popcorn combo and finished it all up, with the help of some others. The movie was nice, except some parts which made the movie (SD) seem as if its a TV drama. Anyway I had a great time watching it. Its located at Vivocity, and its newly built. Some stores are still under construction. The environment there was fine, with a hole-ly ceiling at the drop off point. Later on I discovered that there's a glass or plastic layer that covers the part that is not covered by the concrete, making the shelter a creative design without compromising its usefulness. There were some mix up during the course of the event, but overall its a great job. Keep it up Wei Jing, and the OT.

New Post

Ok, today is a Sunday. I slack every Sunday. So I slacked today.

Woke up late today (about 10am). Went to read some books about some random stuff. Then I switched on my computer.

Gunbounded with Kah Hong. Lalala. I was using nak then switched to other vehicles. But I feel that I am still the best at nak. Did some lucky shots and 400-500+ damage. zzzz most of the time kh won. whee

Somewhat addicted to gb till about 3pm, where my relatives came. We chatted a while then I went down to the playground. playground? o.O
Tried some pull-ups but failed.

Came upstairs to blog. Come to think of it, we'll check our exam papers tmr. Hope I can get at least A2 for Chinese. Well that's the only subject that im confident in. And good luck everyone too for their results!

3 October '06

Woke up at 6.30am today, and was late for school. It was quite rush.

Science was the first period. We went to the library for Chemistry and found out that Physics was also at the library too. cool. Fooled around with the library catalogue.

Watched MOV video during Lit, and its quite nice. The video time extended to a little pass 9.40am but it was ok.

Assembly was about the panel discussion, and when it came to Dah Wei's satire there were many responses. Some of them were quite emotional about the whole issue and felt strongly against the satire. I felt that the satire did pointed out some facts that we could improve on. nvm.

Double period by Mdm. Shieh. Chinese was great except that I spent most of the time slacking around. Then she told us to memorize about 5 sentences for the mo4 xie3. *shock*

Hanged around in the sch library for no particular reason. Read some books and doodled around. Went back home at 5pm. That's all for today now.

Revision Craze

Today was fun. Though it was like Sc, then Lit, then 3 Ap then double shiehls.
In the assembly we went through the different special programmes that are offered to us at Sec 3 next year.

Maybe Sec 2 is indeed a year of making choices. We are given options and eventually everyone ends up in different classes. I think I will join either SMRP or EP. Still debating over which one is "better". All I know is that Pnghy has his mind set on either BSP and LEP. Taylor wants to go for EP I think. Sigh...

Now for the upcoming exams. I duno what to do nowadays except erm.. mugging. shud be. Now the revision season has begun. or is it began? nvm. So I just came back home today and decided to do a little makeover. Changed the skin to a boring and old theme. At least its btr than the default one. lol the barchomee man.

In order to prepare for the History mock test tmr, I will stop writing. gd luck everyone for their exams. =)

Sec 2 Camp

I know its a little late, but nvm.

Secondary 2 Annual Camp 2006

Actually I am not looking forward to the camp. =.= Anyway, on 23th of August, we set off towards the camp site in a bus, called 'Saribum Scouts Camp' if im not wrong. Im sure im wrong though. Our class got separated for the bus trip there (but fortunately not for the entire camp activities), and I went with Class 2C. When I arrive there, I find teh entire place enormous. Ok, somewhat large. It looked like a jungle for me, because everywhere I looked there were grass and trees.

We began setting up our tents after the long briefing by the camp instructors. The type of tent we set up was ridge tents. The group Lollipop were supposed to set up 4 tents. 2 people have to hold the sides of the unfolded canvas, put a pole underneath for support, and wait for the rest to finish hitting the pegs deep into the ground. Guess its a little hard for the ground =S. We tied strings to the pegs and went for lunch when we finished everything.

I find the camp food plain but quite ok. There were about 3-4 dishes, followed by a random fruit of teh day. Sometimes it was bananas. Sometimes it was apples. We have to wash our own plates after the meal, and the nearest toilet was very crowded indeed. I couldn't squeeze through the crowd to get to the tap. zzzzzz.

After lunch was the hike. We have to go around searching for answers or checkpoints, and they are located around the district, but still, the distance was quite long. Some people picked up suitable brances lying on the ground to aid them in walking the long distance. For me I picked up a twig o.O. Then I kind of decided that the twig was no use so I threw it away. The value of water rose throughout the hike, due to the inavailability of water. There was a water parade to hydrate all the Lolliporeans. I figured out that we were one of the few groups that went all the way to the final checkpoint, near to Sungei Beloh. The camp instructor gave us the answers for erm... im nt sure, but I think its courage and strength. Towards the end of the hike we were singing a song about bottles falling off the wall. It went like this:

Let x be a random number.
(x) bottles hanging on the wall
(x) bottles hanging on the wall
if 1 (random colour) bottle should accidentally fall
there will be (x-1) bottles hanging on the wall

At the end we ate dinner first because we impressed Kala.

There were some night time activities, and on of them got something to do with blind men. We blindfolded ourselves and walked in a chain, which means holding the shoulders of the person in front of u. I remembered going up and down. zzzz. Whee. fun . After that we discussed a little about the item we were supposed to present on campfire night. It was getting late as we washed up, and the washroom was again, very crowded. And a little stinky.

When I woke up the next morning (in the tent) , people were already rushing off to eat breakfast. So I was a bit late. Oh, there was this morning exercise thingy. I still remembered Bobby's (camp instructor) quote "Hands on your waist, Feet apart, exercise ready!", and we were supposed to call out "ready".

I think the first activity of the day was River Challenge. It was definitely wet, so I wore the extra shoe which I brought. It goes like this: someone jump in the pond (milo?) and swim accross to tie a string round the tree, so that there would be a line stretching accross the river. Then people will start sitting on the raft and pull themselves accross the river. We made the raft, and all the Lolliporeans got accross safely. At the end only Bowie was left on the starting shore, so we all sang the Bonnie song.

Oh bring back my Bowie to me . Lalalalala.

Next wass nature rumble. Many people shudder at the name of the activity but I do not know why, till that day. Stuart (our instructor) led us to some random door at the back of the campsite, and we were out at the open. That place was really a jungle, with some lake and tall trees. We followed the small and narrow trail, and it went fine till there was a descend into a little pit filled with mud. It didn't smell nice. o.O The tricky part was to climb up the stone ledge, as it was very slippery. It required teamwork, and all were fine except someone who had to rest due to a cut. The conditions got worser, and the mud got higher, till about up to the knee, or maybe much higher.

Lunch was about the same, then it was time for teambuilding activities. I am nt sure of the order, but there was this spider webby which is full of holes. Big holes and small holes. Cavin went first to the other side and helped other people through the holes. lol. I don't think I could even squeeze through the biggest one. There was the electric fence too. The idea was to carry people safely accross the electrical barriers, made of strings. We went to this big see-saw, and tried to balance ourselves. We almost made it. Just then Benjy came.

There was also a Standard Obstacle Course. I may miss out some.

1) Low Wall.
The low wall is easier than it seems. I climbed up the wall and did some victory dance(err.. forgot what exactly it was, involve swinging the arms). There was a high wall in the army camp too.

2) Handle bar
Not sure what it's called. Anyway it involves a lot of strength. As it is slippery, we skipped this section. Kah Hong sustained an injury though =(. There was a cut and he had to go to the hospital to stitch it up.

3) Suicide Window (or is it swiss window?)
The aim is to swing over the metal thingy using your hands. At first I thought it was quite scary, but in the end it was quite fun. Ppl like Nel and me were doing it over and over again.

There were still others like Jacob's Ladder. Reminded me of Jacob's biscuits. It was under maintainence i think.

We had dinner afterwards, and washed up before the campfire event. So when it came, I guess that all of us were ready. We sat at the place overlooking the Milo Pond. The campfire was good, and most of the groups' items were nice. For the Lollipop, we sang the bottle song and some other stuff. It was quite late when the event ended.

Finally, the last day of the camp. We packed up the tent and went for breakfast. Afterwards, we took the bus back to school. It was certainly a memorable experience.

New Post

Today was Sunday. Sunday marks the end of Term 3 and start of the September holidays.

Woke up at 8am today, ate breakfast and read books till noon. Took about half hr to finish my second entry of the NYAA.

Slacked at home till 6pm, doing mostly nothing. Includes sleeping, playing table tennis, reading etc.

Went with my family for an evening swim at the nearby swimming pool. It wasn't very crowded. By the time we went up it was 7+, thus we were feeling a little hungry. So I was like walking along the road when I spotted this nice-looking prata cafe named "Mr. Prata". We went in, and I bought 4 roti pratas.

On the car, we realised that there were about 3 pratas in the takeaway bag. zzzzzz...
Scammed of a prata.

New Post

Today we had this fun trip to Sungei Buloh. We visited some walkways, and it was really muddy. I spotted the mudskippes, the crabs and some other organisms living there. Also, from one of the pavillion whom Andre had assiociated with civilisation, we can see Malaysia, and it was a fine sight; the skyscrapers and the sultan palace.

They said there are crocodiles in the river but unfortunately I did not manage to spot any. =( Nvm. We went to a small shelter (im nt sure of the correct wrd) and tried to spot the birds flying about. Taylor claimed to have seen a blue bird. =.= It was nearing noon so we went back to the entrance. I bought a double scoope ice cream for $2.50. Nelson and Jia Jie shared a dish called "Golden Fries", which is actually...fries, sold for $3. I guess it was a bit expensive and not really worth the money. Ok nvm. In the end everyone tried to kope a bit of the fries. Also, on the way back to the front entrance, we started to pick up the big rocks and threw them in the river. I don
t think we're supposed to do that, but it was fun. =.= Hmmm.. Cavin threw the furthest.

Ate lunch in school and went back shortly. Sigh. Many many stuff to pack for tmr's 3 day 2 night camp. Shall be missing my wonderful bed. So far I have cramped almost everything i need for the camp. Hope its going to be fun.

New Post

I figured out that I should update more often. =)

Nothing is happening much at home during the test days. Hmm, 2 more test to go. I must study hard or else it will pull my MSG down.

Recently my sister's friend gave her a present for i duno what reason. I came back home after some activities in school and guess what I saw - a big seashell, roughly about the size of your palm. More of a conch I think. Its rumoured that when you place the conch near to your ear, you can hear the sound of the sea and the waves. The thing is I can't. My sister saw me fiddling with her precious shell and took it back. zzzzz...

I think I will continue the class testimonial now.

#12 -- Zachary

Quite a popular person in class. He always get good grades as well, and the soccer fan in 2L. A sociable person too. I guess he is committed to the iCouncil as he is in the ExCo. Last year he was in my IRS group and I find that he works well in a group. He used to initiate a soccer match at the back of the class last time. Hangs around with Kah Hong and some other people. Went to korea for IVP and got a distinction =).

As I have to revise for tomorrow's test, I shall stop typing. :P

I will be sleepin' now. bye

btw i just got my new specs

Update

Actually i blogged in school today, but my post was deleted for no reason, probably of the internet connection - it suddenly went bonkers. In this post, i shall continue the class testimonial...

#6 -- Jerrold

He is part of the class CMC. As the class treasurer, he collects money. WHEEE!!. Quite responsible but i can't really judge him yet. I duno why also. Often hangs out with Cavin and Nel and Swee Kiat, if im not wrong. Cheerful all the time.

#7 -- Xuan Cheng

The Wu Shu guy. Skilled in both studies and martial arts, he wields the sacred dagger and strikes randomly. Ok, I duno whether he learn dagger or not. Getting along quite well with the shark recently, and from shark's blog I get to know that they are quite good friends. A nice person to talk to, especially if you don't talk crap (which i do all the time). Friendly and responsible too.

#8 -- Hong Nan

I must agree with shark that he has evolved into a walking encyclopedia... Randomly mutters some science facts of interesting stuff that he has encountered in the day. If you can initiate a conversation, you'll find him quite nice to talk to actually. Although being known as the science nerd in class, he is also friendly and takes responsible in his work. Known as the Science Rep.

#9 -- Kai Li

My IRS member. I find that he has improved in his speech. He improved a lot from last year, when sengwp asked us to introduce ourselfs for 3 min (omg i still remembered). Kiwi, as he is now commonly known, improved greatly and is more outspoken now. Well, he has evolved into a more confident person definitely. I guess about 1 and a half year of shaping really helps. Quite responsible in doing work too, from what I know during IRS sessions. One thing I noticed about him is that everytime school ends at 1.30pm he will rush back home o.O. I guess that's his preference.

#10 -- Dah Wei

Widely known as bigtail. Assiociated with a squirrel. He is cheerful and do quite well acadamically too. Very sociable and friendly, but much of a spammer nowadays. If im not wrong, he spammed me about twice on msn. Also, he's from my former school (Nanyang Primany School) which is nearby. Maybe that's why I know him quite well ever since start of school. He looks familiar at first, but I noticed that he's also from nanyang pri when i went back and looked at the P6 photos. zzz. A soccer pro also.

#11 -- Kah Hong

I visit his blog everyday. Some of my classmates have nicknames. Just like shark. chairshark. That's him. Quite a humourous and cheerful person, about the same as Jay's entertainment level. As our class chairman, i guess that he has many responsibility to play. Also the first classmate that I met when i came HCI. He is generally active in any class activities and enjoys blogging. Gets along well with people.

update

I have no inspiration to continue writing the class testimonial now, so I will blog about what happened today. I will continue another day.

Ok, I admit that this is rather late, but WELCOME BACK Bowie. Hmmm. never see him for quite a while, for about 1 year. And he's back! Looks about the same as I remembered him though, except that he grew a little taller.

In the morning there was Science. To be precise, Physics. Personally I find Mr. Tan's lessons a little boring. He always speaks in the same tone and there are no exciting parts in his lessons. Also, he never jokes, and looks just as serious as a ladybug. The concepts are quite easy to grasp too, well but so far we only studied the Brownian motion and the movement of particles in solids, liquids and gases, so im not encountering any difficulty yet. Though I have a sense of foreboding, but nvm.

After a period of Physics there was Mathematics. Im ok with maths =). We have covered the algebraic equations and the identities. They are interesting. The only setback during maths lessons is that I can't really see the board well. To be precise, the writings on the board. Some people's handwriting are tiny and so small that it looks like a mess of scribbles from where im seating. Guess I have to change my glasses soon. Today we have to go through the tedious "crossnomial" puzzle. It is a bit hard to understand at first though.

Recess I went down to the canteen and bought a plate of spagetti. (is this how we spell it?)

Anyway, during assembly, we have with us a distinguished guest, His Excellency, Pro. Duong. Well, he has a weird accent, probably as he is from Vietnam, but very knowledgable. I guess that Mr. Hon had went through a lot of trouble to bring a Vietnam professor to talk to us. His speech is a little lengthy, with a few pauses in between, but overall it went well. Being a GOH must be a tough job. Well, after the GOH left of refreshments in the library, we watched a drama by the Singapore Playhouse. The title was "am i in love". I find that the actors are well organised and they have put up a good play. The content is enriching and humourous at times.

Next was 2 periods of Chinese. I was looking forward to it actually. Mdm. Shieh went through the term 2 paper with us.

That's about all for today.

Class Rating

Hmm. I am going to rate the class in this post. To be precise, just 5 ppl. I can't stand typing for long.. =.=

#1 -- Andric Aw Wen Hao

Quite a nice person to get along with. Almost got into the exco for iCouncil with the pink shirt campaign. Always hanging out with the goat and sometimes shark. Overall he is good in his studies. One change I noticed is that I seldom see him goes online on MSN nowadays..

#2 -- Benjy

A very enthu person who is both rather short and small sized. Can get quite violent sometimes like the other day in class. Assiociated with a little rabbit. Get along quite well with him too :). Responsible and cheerful. When he goes mad he have a weird accent though.

#3 -- Bowie

Away in the USA, thus we dont hear much of him nowadays. However he came back and will be joining us in school when the school reopens after the June holidays. He will have to work extra hard to catch up with what we're taught in school I think, catching up with the ACE and everything. I hope he've enjoyed his stay in the states.

#4 -- Lester

Everyone calls him big sized but i dunno why. QUite a cheerful and responsible person. Did some projects with him last time. Well, he is efficient in getting work done and doing ACE, but the bad side is that he insist to do his own way and do not listen to others. Which is...erm. not so good. An accurate air rifle guy.

#5 -- Jay

A cheerful person. Ever heard of the curse of the Seetow family? If u nvr just ask Mr Kevin Cheng. I think he will be the first teacher to teach all 3 brothers of the Seetow family. Somehow Mr Cheng finds it horrific. o.O Not responsible sometimes, and likes to crack jokes in class. The entertainer in well, especially Malay classes. Good side: always tell jokes and cheer ppl up. Bad side: always tell jokes and becomes a little irrating.

Update

There's almost nothing to blog about in the holidays.

If you count badminton trainings, I have them 3 times a week (Mon, Wed Fri) same time same place.

If you count playing Maple Story, I play them.

If you count slacking at home, I slack quite a lot at home

If you count reading storybooks from the library, I read quite a lot. (Yesterday I went to the nearest library - Queenstown Library near my house and read the whole afternoon)

If you count staring into space, I stone quite a lot.

If you count doing homework, I don't do homework.

M0ral of the st0ry?????

- Holidays boring (i sort of look forward to school)
- Do homework.
- play maple.

To prepare for tomorrow's test, I have to ge bi.
That's all for now... Bye!

Update

I am sure that SLC was an enriching experience for all of us.

We made new friends ( i actually added everyone of them on MSN - except 1 whose msn address i coudn't read due to my horrible handwriting). We learned from each other. Well, in my group there is someone from China I learned loads from her =). Hmm, stuff like China is big o.O

The first day was orientation day. We had some talks in the morning and in the afternoon it was the amazing race. My group went to City Hall and I had lunch at a kopitiam. Actually ate chicken rice =). Then still hungry and bought an apple pie. After lunch, our group met up and the amazing race offically begun. The first clue was "the march in of the British". Answer was the city hall. We went up there and saw Terence with a hula hoop. Found out that we are supposed to put the hoop down without lifting our finger off. Our group took 10 minutes o.O
Overall the amazing race was tiring and my group did not complete all 15 stations, returning to Farrer Park with only 10 stations completed. Next was waterbombs. Already quite tired out so I only prepared 3 water bombs. When the game started, I threw the first water bomb up high and landed on some random grass patch. Ok, time for the second one. For the 2nd one I threw it and hit someone accidentally =S. Ouch. For teh 3rd I forgot what i did with it, probably using it to wet Terence.

The third day was a formal day. We are supposed to wear council uniform and I bought it last minute from the shop in Beauty World Center. The shop owner (a middle-aged man) told me that a lot of people came that night to buy the same thing - white long sleeve shirt and long pants. Erps. I came to school a little late unfortunately. In the afternoon it was the conglomerate meeting. It was reallly formal. some random quote... "All in favour of this, please say i. All not in favour of this, please say neh....". It started to get quite boring so someone sitting beside me (right) started to shock people with static electricity. I got shocked for duno how many times then another person sitting beside me (left) got it and....

Update

this post will cover 2 things
- EOTA
- Holidays

(Idea taken from Xuan Cheng a.k.a DarkDementor)

----EOTA----

EOTA was a success, though it was sometime back, my computer crashed because I deleted something from C: so Im using my sister's computer to blog now. Back to EOTA. Early in the morning (actually not very early) we left in a luxurious coach and headed towards the wonderful Kallang Water Sports Centre. The trip there took sometime time, and by the time we reached there, it is around 11am (If im not wrong of course). We had to wait for teh SJI people to clear off and finish with their prise giving session. Instead of just stoning around, we (sailor pnghy) managed to catch some games on taylor's mobile. Now it is time...

Excited as a brick, we queued up and realised that the boat can only take 20 people at the most. So Lester had to go to the other boat. Hmm.... Took our life jackets and the paddle. Then climbed in the boat. Then we're off!!!

Lalala. I must admit that my muscle ached so much within the first few minutes that I slacked a little =). Sat next to Taylor (he took the left side since he was a left hander). I remembered someone splashed water on everyone behind him, thought it was Jay. Well, we rowed on.

Row row row the boat. No, not down the stream. Its up (sigh). Halfway the instructors saw that we were generally scared that the boat was going to capsize that he decided to rock the boat. He assured us that the boat is not going to capsize and asked for someone to volunteer himself to test the lifejackets. lol. Jay volunteered (did he?).

Splash! Down Jay goes. The instuctors showed us how to assist someone to climb back into the boat. the method was qutie simple - just wait for him to hook his legs to the edge of the boat and then 2 people pull hard on the life jacket. In the end, we all jumped into the salty water. :S It was quite fun actually. Like a swimming pool, expect that it was much deeper and saltier. I floated around, waiting to be 'rescued' by someone on the boat. Ok, im quite heavy, but 2 people (i forgotten who) managed to pull me up.

There was a race between the 3 dragon boats and we won.

----Holidays----

The long awaited June holidays started badly. Found that I will be quite busy in the holidays, not enough time to do ACE, not enough time to study, not enough time to play, not enough time to slack, not enough time to go for EP3, not enough time to do almost anything....

On Friday I played pokemon crystal for about 6 hours till my computer went bonkers and crashed (unfortunately). So there was nothing else to do, just banging on the piano and going to sleep about 2 hours later. Saturday I woke up early and drummed on the piano, then ate lunch and went to my piano lesson, then bought some bread from Delifrance in NTUC in Coronation Plaza, then went to my grandmother's house. Sounds boring. I guess on Sunday i have to finish the zuo wen that I was supposed to hand in on Friday but didn't. Oh no...

Dreaded Assessments

Next week there will be 2 tests.

Science and Mathematics seems easier this year compared to last year. Maybe its only Science? Last year I failed Bio but this year I passed =). Ok, I guess Maths is harder, but Mdm Tham made it easier by focusing on quadratic equations for the coming Maths test.

Today there is nothing much. From morning till now I have been revising the two subjects and its starting to get a little boring. I think my MSG for this term is going to go up again as usual. Hmmm... A bad sign.

Bad day

Today is a bad day, so that's why I blog to destress.

Firstly the day started badly. We (sailorp pnghy) chatted a while before flag raising (ok I admit I wasn't usually that early and today I did not reach school that early). Then HY went for his sabbatical and me and Taylor went for our sabbatical, which is the Mage, the Prophet and the Nuclear B0mb. Hmmmm. Now I shall give comments about this sabbatical.

The sabbatical IS fun. Though intellectually taxing as Mr Quek has said, I find that I am able to cope with what the co-trainers taught me. It deals with Literature and the fun part is that everyday we're going to watch a movie, then analyse it. So part of it u can slack. The co-trainers are Jerrold, Benjy, Andre and Yi Yong. They learnt the topic very well and their speech during the sabbatical was good. Overall I think the others enjoyed it too. Today we watched "Contact". Tmr according to Andre it will be Terminator 3000 or Terminator 300 or Terminator 3. Something like that.

During the 40 min break I went to the library. To my suprise (well actually not really) I realised that HY wanted to interview taylor and me. For his sabbaticals perhaps. HY asked us about some racial harmony stuff and we answered, with taylor going first. He filmed it down. lol. :S

After the sabbatical (we're dismiised at 1.30) I went to eat lunch, then rushed back up to the library for the IRS which I later found that HY cancelled the IRS session. So I stayed in the library for a while more before HY went and eat his lunch. I went for badminton training.

Went back home at 6.30 after a looong and tirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring training (especially physical training, u know the usual - pumping, running, blah blah).

Wah! I heard we all now got big big debate. They say future of proper English is at stake.

All because stupid singlish spoil the market, want to change now dunno whether too late.

Aiyoh! Ang mo hear us talk like that oso want to faint. Even our 'U' graduates speak like ah beng, ah seng.

Singlish is like rojak, everything throw inside anyhow mix. Got Malay, Idian, Chinese and English, can give and take.

When you dunno something is under the table or chair, you ask loud loud," Oi! Under where? Under where?"

When you see somebody behave very bad, you scold him," Aiyah! Why you so like that?"

When you ended up in a traffic jam, and got stuck, you complain," Today I Èû³µ kana very jia lat."

When you warn your kids to be careful all the way, you tell them," Careful har, you better dun pray-pray!"

When you see mooncakes with many egg yolks, you say," Wah! This type good to eat, very shiok!!

When your friend mistook your mother for your aunt, you disturb him," Alamak! Why you so blur one?"

You write like that in exam you sure die liao. Teacher mark your paper oso kee siao.

I dunno whether you agree with me or not. I just simply sharing with you my thoughts.

Singlish is like the garden weeds. You pull like mad still would not quit.

Sure got some ppl like and some ppl dun like. Singlish and English, they'll still live side by side.

Sekali our Singaporean identity oso lost until dunno go where. Even orang-utan ah meng start thinking like a polar bear.

But still muz go I.T.otherwise become swa koo, only smarter than Ah Meng at the Mandai Zoo.

Wait the whole world go I.T., we still blur as sotong, next time we all only qualified to sell laksa in Chai Chee.

Update

Yesterday was a very hot day. It also happened to be the GEP open house that the iCouncil and the iCMG first organised together. The OSes were Yong Quan (iCouncil side) and Jia Wei (iCMG side, also happens to be my badminton senior o.O ).

I soon found out that I was an usher stationed at Blk B from Taylor after coming late for the briefing at 7.40 (I came to school at 7.20 and took several turns to find the ops room). So I positioned myself there with a never ending smile =). I must admit that it was quite early in the morning and no one came, so it was boring. Then after a while parents started filling in and I guess we all had a whale of our time trying to usher the parents.

Some of the parents were quite friendly, while a rare minority were quite unfriendly. However, it still went well and I even shook the hands of a parent. My role is to usher the parents to the clock tower then pass the time to Jay who is sort of stationed there.

After some time most of the parents came, so I returned to the Ops room to slack. Then someone suggested playing cards and so we started several games of Big 2. It was bad though - we are not supposed to be playing cards and returning to the Ops room at all. I found HY and we went to the poolside restaurant to grab some snacks, erm actually ice cream. Seems pointless to eleborate more, but I bought a cookie crumble flavoured ice cream and ate on the way up. We met Lester and he was busy spamming the vending machine, at the same time carrying many packets of Mamee noodles. He was actually buying for other people in the Ops room.

Nearing the end of the event Ushers were needed at the refreshments area - food =) . Taylor and I were the only ushers left in the Ops room. Our role is to inform the parents who are queueing at the students section to proceed to the adults section, and to inform the students who are queueing at the parents section to proceed to the students' section. It went well.

Soon, there were a shortage of parents to attend the Students' Sharing Session or the Parents' Tours. Everyone went to inform the parents of the events. Then I went back to the globe area and found a family of 3 looking lost. I approached them and ... they asked me where was the registration place and was there a talk in the Auditorium. Obviously they just came.

Oh no...

I duno what to tell them. So instead I just went back to the Ops room and rest.

After the debrief I ate with Ivan at poolside and went home shortly.

I do not know what to blog about today.

Update

Today was quite good. I came to school early to sweep the floor? Ok, ok, I reached school at about 6.50 or 6.55 I forgot which, then I started SWEEPING. Why? To make up for Thursday - I forgot to do duty. Afraid to be fined. Ahh, Jay is getting more serious.

Lessons. We were taught about ionic bonds. Confusing, lucky to have a pro sitting beside me (Taylor) who clears my doubt. End of Science, next comes Mr Krison's period, wheee. We - oh crap I forgot what we did. Let's move on.

During recess I bought the usual chicken pie from the usual store in the usual canteen where we usually buy our food.

We went to LT3 during Chinese. Found out that there were students from nan shan sec school. Yay. I was sitting beside a nan shan sec school student o.O. I said hi. He also said hi. The students got ready some presentations and I was suprised that they did not have much of a special chinese slang for chinese students, just like Singaporeans. Their Chinese was good, speaking fluently and occasionally peering around.

Hmmm. Maths time! Think of Mdm Tham. Ok, today I think the rest of the ILP groups presented. Some were confusing like the Standard Deviation, guess I have to consult Mdm Tham or Benjy.

I rushed down to the canteen and bought a curry pie then quickly rushed up for Geography lesson. Ms Foo covered the water resources topic today. It was good and I followed her till someone cracked a joke somewhere. Then Ms Foo asked me what she said previously. Guess I will have to pay more attention in future. :(

Com studies time. We were told profusely by Mr Cheong about what will be tested. Study hard, do revision often. Nothing much after that, then we went to have lunch at the canteen with pnghy and taylor. I went for badminton shortly.

Update

Sorry for the long period of totally no updates.

Well today is Sunday so there's nothing much to blog about. Now I am stuck at revision for Science, revloving around the three topics.

Ok ok, on friday I just realised that badminton training is until 8 everyday. Crazy. 2pm to 8pm, that's about 6hrs everydaY? There wasn't much people left at training from 6 onwards, only about Nigel, our captain, the coach and some really enthu people like Alfred and others.

This links back to the Sec 2 Parents Symposium. I am an usher.
Halfway during badminton training when Zack and Zong Xian pulled me to LT3, and there's a nice meal waiting for me =).
After that Zack briefed all the helpers and we went to our respective venus to start ushering. Parents were filling in already. First I was at the path between poolside and the clocktower, but there wasn't really much parents walking by there so I went to the open air carpark. Benjy was there waiting for parents. Hmmm.
Next I went to the poolside area and met Wei Jing. It was getting late.

Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese Lunar New Year!

Yesterday was Chu Xi. We had a most wonderful renunion dinner, starting at 6pm. I was playing maple from 1pm onwards, fooling around, then night came so I paused for a while. Then I played again till 1am, logging off at Florina Beach, killing Torties. I managed to get several Tortie shells. Someone threw this tortie shell really high, so I asked him how he did it.

Ok, so we have to jump and dorp the item in midair while descending make the Tortie shell go really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really high.

Today was the fist day according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, so I visited many of my relatives today, got several angbaos =). Then I went home and found that my other relatives were there too, and I wished them happy new year. THen more angbaos.

Now while I am posting my relatives are watching the television; loud music of the superstar (chen weilian) singing his songs is blaring from the speakers. Oops, sry now its some dual singing by 2 pro singers, with the superstar playing teh piano. And now my cousin passes me a oreo buscuit. =). They come in packs of 1 oreo cookie each --- waste of plastic resources. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa now the TV got nice music bye bye i go watch TV so i signing off.

Updates

The holidays ended so fast?

1 Major event during the holidays is the Sec 1 Orientation. We were dismissed everyday at around 8+pm, and by the time we reach home it is around 9pm. It was quite tiring. I recognised some students from my former primary school. The events ran smoothly, and as the helper I stayed in the Logs and the Ops room almost all day. THe other day I was playing cards with the other helpers in the logs room to kill the boredom.

Threre was a AAR of the whole thing afterwards. Many of the buddies gave feedback on the event, and told Alfred about some of the things that happened. Like someone losing a shoe.

I am going to work harder in the new year, and get a MSG of 2 or lower (hopefully). Some of the former teachers still came to teach 2L.

Happy New Year!
