Most Hated Things

Homework on tables and projects on paper
Obnoxious compos right from our teachers
Stacks of newspaper all tied up with strings
These are a few of my most hated things

Plain heavy textbooks and real boring lectures
Presenters who talk with unusual gestures
Negative comments and red-coloured rings
These are a few of my most hated things

Numerous dots and confusing dashes
I wish this homework will all burn to ashes
Rock-heavy schoolbags and more random things
These are a few of my most hated things

When the teacher bites, when the bee stings, when I am feeling sad...
I remember my most hated things, and then I don't feel so bad.

Memories

The holidays are here... found a few emails that i received/ sent in sec 1 and then.. posted it here.

Sigh...

Our IRS group is trying to think up of a idea. Maybe Ms Foo can help, oh Ms Foo can you think up of any topic, I don't mind even if its not parallel to what our group's interest. At least some idea is needed. Let's hope we come up with a really good idea, or rather a topic for our group. Let's look at our progress...

1) We decided to do something for SPCA.
2) Changed to Legal Warcraft.
3) Then we went for the Prelims.
4) Change of plans...
5) At IRS meeting, we decided to overwrite the whole thing.
6) Current Idea: A suitable and affordable mouse trap, with a one way door, and we also thought up of a backup idea (actually still thinking)
7) Pending acceptance......

Sai Meng
p.s. Pls try to stick to this group even though the name is weird currently. And more stuff on the blog pls, cause it records our progress.

1Leans,

Hongnan, you have to pay $10.40 tmr for CDS. Don't forget.

Now, people keep asking me why I keep collecting money. If you have read my previous messages - or bothered to read at all - you should have known that I merely collect once a month for CDS and class fund unless absolutely necessary.

Please take a look at the financial report. It is good to know the economical status of your own class.

I am suggesting a special package. If you pay $120 straight away, you do not have to pay any more money again. If you work out the monthly $15, you will say "Not fair. $120 exceeds the amount." However, note that sometimes the CDS might be seriously negative and also our own class EOYA (chalet) If interested, please come to me.

2) Just to let you know,
Macdonald's 25 cents Ice Cream is now 50 cents. Last time it was 50 cents , then 25 cents, now back to 50 cents. In other words, the price dropped 50% but raised 100%. What is the Macdonald people trying to do? Groan... no more cheap Ice Cream.

New post

Can't believe my bicycle's front tyre punctured while im on the road. Yup, it went flat in about 11.23 seconds (given to 4sf, of course) and I had to wheel it back home. u know, that wasn't the perfect thing to happen while ur cycling for a few kilometres exploring ur neighbourhood, but i guess that will have to do.

Perhaps i'll bring my bike to the repair shop nearby.

Nanyang Primary Official Opening Ceremony

The holidays crept in slowly. Recently I was searching the old cupboard for any random stuff when I found this CD. It is about Nanyang Pri's official opening of the new campus on 6th September 2004. So i watched it on my com. The video featured all aspects, such as the arrival of the GOH PM Lee, who was an old boy of Nanyang Pri, and the lion dance, and nanyang kindergarten cheerleaders using pompom. Too bad they didnt feature the Chinese orchestra in the courtyard. XD I was playing yangqin btw. so cant see my self being two and a half years younger. I managed to spot some of my old primary school friends though.

Actually the CO was featured. there was a live telecast of the CO performance =D. to the hall. lucky it didnt rain.
It does bring back fond memories.

You Are a Little Messy

You aren't the cleanest person in the world, but you're definitely not a slob.

You clean up when you have the time, but you're realistic about what you can get done.

Generally, you're pretty organized and tidy - though you may have a few hidden messes.

You eventually get around to making things spotless, but you do it on your own schedule!

You Are 2: The Helper

You always put on a happy face and try to help those around you.

You're incredibly empathetic and care about everyone you know.

Able to see the good in others, you're thoughtful, warm, and sincere.

You connect with people who are charming and charismatic.

At Your Best: You are deeply giving, altruistic, and humble. You devote your life to others while caring for yourself too.

At Your Worst: You are manipulative and enjoy making other people guilty.

Update

Results came out for some of the subjects.
Pro results.

I got C5 for Mathematics. Its not good news, though I hope that the next 2 terms can somewhat help pull up this subject for exemption. Mdm Tham left for her maternity leave, and hope she's well. There's a teacher to replace her, and she is Ms Sally Lim. Friendly and also eager to teach, but sometimes I don't understand what she is saying even after she explained the concepts. Ok, so our Maths test will be in week 10, so next term 3 AU, probably more stress.

Chemistry was not bad, a B4, though no improvement from the previous term, but the pop quiz pulled it down to a C5. A1 for Chinese.

I think I am more chiang in humanities for this term, duno why, though i got A2 for physics fortunately.

Update

Yay! Holidays le!

Hmm. Well, today there's the council assembly. Reached school at around 1130hrs, together with pnghy, and went to LT2. Quite a formal yet informal session. there were reviews of past events which occured this year, and the various OSes gave a summary of the pros and cons of the events. First up was Han Yong, the OS for EOTA Term 1. Ok let's see... EOTA for T1 was a little screwed up at first, everyone was confused about what to do, and there was a mix up, but we did enjoy ourselves. Next was CNY 07, but unfortunately the OS Jia Kun wasnt present so AOS Yi Yong went up. General comments by Mr. Ben Lee: last minute work, rushed proposals and planning was disorganised. perhaps more things to arouse the audience. peel the orange wasnt audible.

After the council assembly, which is also the 3rd council assembly of the year, as clearly stated on the Powerpoint slide presentation given on the council assembly itself, we left for lunch @ Coronation Plaza, the Golden Rooster. Food there is great thus/but the queue is always very long. Some mix up here and there. The bus ride to ECP (East Coast Park) was long, we had to switch buses. We also had to walk for quite a distance before assembling outside an auspicious looking Burger King Restaurant, which unfortunately stirred up my appetite.

Well, HY, Taylor and I went into Virtual World, which is an arcade. I was wearing the council shirt, and fortunately I brought along a Tintin shirt. Played Time Crisis 3 for a little while. It soon began to rain, and it was no ordinary drizzle; rather a huge downpour. Took a bus back home soon after that.

Oh btw there's going to be this Sec3 Hwa Chong Institution Boarding School Experience. We're scheduled to check-in on a Sunday night. Come to think of it, maybe I do have to pack all the textbooks and subject files in, which is going to fill up at least 2 mega size luggages that is, i believe strongly, going to be very light. argh.

Update

Its a Saturday night. Rained about a few hours ago, and theres a thick stack of books on my table.

Im blogging late at night. Well, not exactly late. There's a birthday party upstairs (i live on the 2nd floor). I can hear the bday song.

Sec 3 life is tough. everything's in a mad rush now.

Update

Ok, so its another 147 days before the official release of the Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows. Recently I browsed through several fansites of HP and managed to dig out quite a lot of information. Now im wondering whether Harry is a horcrux. Oh btw, I went to dumbledoreisnotdead.com and it redirected me to beyondhogwarts.com. lolz. looks like the fans managed to believe that the headmaster is dead.

Anyway, school wasn't that bad today. There's a temp taking exercise but i forgot to bring my thermometer. =( Then there was PE after English. But i think i will get A1 for English. xD confirm de. This term screwed up results le. I think my current MSG stands at 3.6, counting in 8 subjects.

Haiz, I will have to work hard for Biology and some other subjects. Looks like its going to be a tough year ahead.

Happy Belated CNY all!

Update

Having IHE in the morning was fun. I signed up for History elective for IHE, so we gathered in the classroom of 3J and Mr. Slim (Samuel Lim) discussed about why Shang Dynasty was regarded by Historians as a civilization. It was both interesting and boring. I was told that:

- I must have a good command of English Language
- I'll get the polar bear roar from slim if I didnt analyse enough.

I find IHE lessons interesting. Probably because of how the lesson is carried out. But next comes Chinese.

Ok, so Mr. YangWZ came to Singapore many years ago. And he has a good command of the Chinese Language. Zhenghao shared a news story about some hmm... issues. I forgot liao -.-
Anyway, we have to finish a zuo wen by tmr. YangWZ sure has high expectations.

Recess ate at poolside as usual. Meet Bowie there who was drinking coffee.

Physics practicals. A bit fun. We watched a ball of metal swinging to and fro for about 240 oscillations. Some ppl miscounted. some ppl lost count. lolz.
During Mathz, there was nth much except the usual going through of WS. Sometimes its a little boring. Hmm...
Its English! ok. Ms Yong came in and we started to discuss serious stuff.

Lunch.

Back to lessons. I even got the Imperial thingy.
Leefy came in abt 5 mins after his period. Lolz. many things happened. i shall nt eleborate. but i would just like to say...

that 3O 2007 is quite a good class after all to be in.

Eventful Weekend

Let's see...

I finished the Physics WS, Maths WS (left a little bit), bought my test tubes and the Chinese assignment.

Went to badminton training on Friday and a few things happened:

1) My racquet string broke, so I passed my racquet to coach for re-stringing
2) Saw Cavin having track training outside KKH
3) Slacked a little
4) Went home..

Boring.

I think im screwed. I only wrote 500+ words for the English Commonwealth Essay, which was supposed to be 1000+. I havent touch on the History Essay yet. =(

Downloaded a un - errorful pokemon leaf green rom and spammed it till I deleted it. Yeesh.

Go Figure.
