Our classroom has recently shifted from the clocktower to Blk A, but think on the bright side, at least we got to experience both types of classrooms. Though today wasn't that used to the new studying environment, lessons were still fine and everything's alright. Just hope that our teacher get well soon, it must be stressful for her to walk so far given the medical condition.

Tomorrow's the prelims, happy April's fools, meet up with the mentors but can't seem to figure out what my project is about, there are still doubts here and there. Still cant believe that the judging commences tmr, its like so fast, or maybe everyone's procrastinating and not doing their work (including me), but there are a few really hardworking ones out there. Maybe its time management.

Singapore's getting hotter, everyday we'll just start sweating and swearing after recess, now maybe just hoping for some rain to cool us down occasionally.

I still can't understand much of the IHE history lessons so far, does anyone else have the same problem? xD.

whee~ got 18 for chemistry test. I feel that I really shouldn't have slacked that much during the holidays.

Thinking back, I was free for most of the holidays. I have totally nothing to do during the hols but instead chose to slack instead of doing my homework.

Should have mugged Chemistry instead of Sleeping Whole Day Without other commitments.

I'll work harder next time.

Holidays are coming, yet there's so much more to do. I am counting on the Sabbaticals Week to catch up on the ACE projects, but so far, its day 5 and I haven't even started yet. Maybe i'll just post up my list of homeworks in this blog.

Looks like its going to be a holiday. Anyway, school life is getting more frustrating, teachers giving u hmwrk, assignments online without clear instructions etc. And there's hardly anyone that I can refer/relate to nowadays. haiz. Am i becoming antisocial?

Valentines' Day

Almost all was well. Left for school as usual in the morning but overslept, earning 1 demerit point for being late for flag raising. Forgetting to bring an oral digital thermometer earned me another.

Lessons.

Decided to stop by Coronation Shopping Plaza for a drink on the way home.

"Coffee milk tea pls"
She started scooping the coffee powder hesitantly into the cup.
"Coffee milk tea nice meh? I dun find it nice. u find coffee milk tea nice?"
"Huh? how i know? Ok lor. change to some other drink. what u recommend?"
"Got lah. Almond, apple, yam, peach, strawberry flavour."

I chose mango.

Chinese New Year

The CNY celebrations on Wednesday screwed up a bit. Nevertheless, students were still eager to go back to their primary schools to visit their teachers.

Especially the Sec 1s. Older batches seem less enthusiastic.

Boyan, Ivan and I walked to Nanyang Pri after the concert. lol this year NYPS allowed ex-pupils to enter the school compound before 1.30pm, which was good news. There were many other ex-students there le. Anyway we just camped outside the staff room and met up with many others. Yeh, it was quite crowded. Some of my very junior juniors recognized me LOL. Saw lim goaty and Zhi Kan, chatted for a while. Haiz, this time round we didnt manage to meet up with any of our former teachers.

"Hey , she's not in the staff room but still in the school lah. Why don't you all wait outside lor?" =S

除夕was quite fun actually. Played games to destress in the afternoon, and my foster sister from China (and her family) came for reunion dinner that night. The grown-ups talked abt this, abt that for some time then went to walk in the park nearby.

Went to relatives house to 拜年 these few days. Ate lots of CNY goodies.

Maybe I'll attempt to bake the pineapple tarts next year.LOL

Sch starting tmr, I must thank the sec 2 for posting up the PSB message to postpone tests.
I think i slacked too much during CNY lol, left hmwrk till 2nd last day then chiong.

New Year

Got back from Beijing few days ago.

The weather there is cold and dry, hence I'll need to apply moisturizer for my dry skin. Now trying to get used to the hot and humid Singapore weather.

Oh ya, the BSC ppl and me returned to class the next day. Lots of things to catch up, considering that we have been missing lessons with the rest of my classmates for 2 weeks. Luckily for us some of the topics are covered in our stay in China, though i still have to complete the huge pile of homework waiting for me.

Today's the 2nd Day, and things have been going well. School life is back to normal, with the exception of new teachers (for us). Maths is taught by LeeTK, whom I find is a fine teacher. Chemistry, ChuaCheeLC, and she's quite fierce. Had the first practicals' of the year for Chemistry today, just after lunch, and we did titration. wth? I almost threw everything i learnt last year back at the teacher le. Lesson was fast-paced, leaving us no time for a break.

Maybe this was to let us get used to the hasty and hectic Sec 4 year.

New timetable is weird. For today we have recess after the first period in the morning, at 0840, and lunch break at 12pm. I really felt blur in school today, duno what to do, when and where our next lesson is. I'll need some time to adjust.

IHC, by Viviensim. She's fine. taught me in Sec 1 before, hope that she remembers me. for IHE history, we have TeoCM. Her lessons are loud. we covered the Cold War, causes, etc. First day of school I found out that I have missed out on a lot of stuff covered, so I managed to go through the history textbook and did some reading up. Ok la, quite manageable, though honestly speaking, History is my favourite subject, and the best History lessons I had was with slim last year.

We went through double period of biology, taught by OonHL. Cool, she taught me before too, last year. So basically we covered respiration, and next up will be excretion. English was Joyce Lim, and i feel that she's fine too.

Went to collect NRIC in the afternoon. Wow, time really flies, and we're already the most senior batch in HCI (high school). What will JC be like next year?

Feeling a bit tired, and emo, after returning from Beijing. Maybe its the "Beijing Blues". Missed everyone there, and while im there I missed everyone in Singapore.

The holidays are here... found a few emails that i received/ sent in sec 1 and then.. posted it here.

Sigh...

Our IRS group is trying to think up of a idea. Maybe Ms Foo can help, oh Ms Foo can you think up of any topic, I don't mind even if its not parallel to what our group's interest. At least some idea is needed. Let's hope we come up with a really good idea, or rather a topic for our group. Let's look at our progress...

1) We decided to do something for SPCA.
2) Changed to Legal Warcraft.
3) Then we went for the Prelims.
4) Change of plans...
5) At IRS meeting, we decided to overwrite the whole thing.
6) Current Idea: A suitable and affordable mouse trap, with a one way door, and we also thought up of a backup idea (actually still thinking)
7) Pending acceptance......

Now, people keep asking me why I keep collecting money. If you have read my previous messages - or bothered to read at all - you should have known that I merely collect once a month for CDS and class fund unless absolutely necessary.

Please take a look at the financial report. It is good to know the economical status of your own class.

I am suggesting a special package. If you pay $120 straight away, you do not have to pay any more money again. If you work out the monthly $15, you will say "Not fair. $120 exceeds the amount." However, note that sometimes the CDS might be seriously negative and also our own class EOYA (chalet) If interested, please come to me.

2) Just to let you know,
Macdonald's 25 cents Ice Cream is now 50 cents. Last time it was 50 cents , then 25 cents, now back to 50 cents. In other words, the price dropped 50% but raised 100%. What is the Macdonald people trying to do? Groan... no more cheap Ice Cream.

New post

Can't believe my bicycle's front tyre punctured while im on the road. Yup, it went flat in about 11.23 seconds (given to 4sf, of course) and I had to wheel it back home. u know, that wasn't the perfect thing to happen while ur cycling for a few kilometres exploring ur neighbourhood, but i guess that will have to do.

Perhaps i'll bring my bike to the repair shop nearby.

Nanyang Primary Official Opening Ceremony

The holidays crept in slowly. Recently I was searching the old cupboard for any random stuff when I found this CD. It is about Nanyang Pri's official opening of the new campus on 6th September 2004. So i watched it on my com. The video featured all aspects, such as the arrival of the GOH PM Lee, who was an old boy of Nanyang Pri, and the lion dance, and nanyang kindergarten cheerleaders using pompom. Too bad they didnt feature the Chinese orchestra in the courtyard. XD I was playing yangqin btw. so cant see my self being two and a half years younger. I managed to spot some of my old primary school friends though.

Actually the CO was featured. there was a live telecast of the CO performance =D. to the hall. lucky it didnt rain.
It does bring back fond memories.
